This report highlights emerging risks, patterns and themes identified through rapid review notifications.
Key insights from this quarter include:
- serious harm remained the most common incident type, accounting for just over half of incidents
- children aged 11 to 17 were the most affected age group, accounting for over half of incidents
- a higher proportion of incidents involved boys, potentially linked to an increase in extra-familial non-fatal assault
- domestic abuse and non-engagement were key themes, alongside emerging learning relating to children with disabilities
